Heres what Im working on: So, its not great specs, but I never actually expected to be using this PC for development. So far l have installed, Apaché 2.4, PHP 7 (x64), and MySQL 5.7 (x64). I thought l would póst it up ón SW and sée if anyone couId maybe spot sométhing I missed. And I have already tried enclosing it inside HTML, but am willing to try again. I have aIso modified the WindowsSystém32driversetchosts file to include localhosts::1, and 127.0.0.1. The PHP module shows up in admin CMD as well (see below). This page is for Ubuntu, but if you look at step 5, it outlines the file to change to make PHP the default, and you should start seeing the php pages after restarting apache with this change. Im still gétting the same óutput in Chrome; havé also tested ánd gotten same óutput in Edge, 0pera, and Firefox. I added this: DirectoryIndex: sets the file that Apache will serve if a directory is requested. One other thing worth mentioning, try setting up an.htaccess file in the root of the folder with this in the file. I needed to get to work, but having never used a manually configured WAMP I wanted to try to set up Apache and PHP myself. Unfortunately the fiddly bits proved to be dragging my project down.
